2026 Patriot 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run

The 2026 Patriot 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run returns to Trophy Club, Texas on July 4th. This event invites runners, walkers, and families of all ages to celebrate the holiday with a patriotic spirit and community pride.
Starting at Community Pool on Parkview Drive in Trophy Club, the race offers participants a firm yet slightly soft terrain that is ideal for both seasoned runners and those looking to enjoy an active morning walk. The course begins from Independence Park East or Samuel Beck Elementary before looping back towards the finish line at Community Pool. A notable feature of this route includes the picturesque scenery along Parkview Drive, which showcases the vibrant community spirit leading up to the event.
The Patriot 5K & Fun Run is a tradition that has been running since its inception and continues to bring together residents from Trophy Club and beyond. In past years, thousands have participated in either the timed or non-timed runs, contributing significantly towards scholarships for local students. The event not only provides an opportunity for personal achievement but also fosters a sense of community engagement.
The course features two distances: the Patriot 5K, which is a firm challenge at exactly five kilometers; and the one-mile fun run, suitable for all ages with a distance of about 1.6 kilometers. Both races start together before branching out to their respective courses. The route includes an elevation change that provides runners with scenic views while maintaining manageable terrain.
On race morning, temperatures typically range between 80°F to 95°F (27°C to 35°C) with a UV index of Very High at 8.0, making it essential for participants to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated throughout the run. With firm yet slightly soft conditions expected due to typical July weather, runners can anticipate an enjoyable but challenging experience.

Participants can collect their race bib and t-shirt at Town Hall from June 30th to July 2nd between noon and 6 PM. Race-day pickup is available starting at 6 AM at Community Pool; bring your registered shirt size and any necessary identification if you are a first-time participant.
The event concludes with awards distributed at 8:15 AM, celebrating the achievements of all participants in a traditional community setting.
