On October 25, 2026, the Outdoor Operations Peak Encounter Training Race is set to take place at Beijing Xiangshan Park's Eastern Gate - Locust Tree Lawn. The race offers two challenging courses: "Cross West Hill" (25km) and "Mountain Scenic Route" (10km). Both events are designed for runners seeking a blend of scenic beauty, technical terrain, and thrilling challenges.
The 24.5-kilometer Cross West Hill course features an elevation gain of 1329 meters and a descent of 1323 meters through the rugged trails of Beijing's Western Hills National Forest Park. Participants will start at 8:00 AM on race day, with a cut-off time set for 3:00 PM, providing runners seven hours to complete this grueling yet rewarding route.
The Mountain Scenic Route is a shorter but equally captivating option, covering an actual distance of 9.88 kilometers and climbing up 484 meters while descending the same amount. This course starts at 8:10 AM with a three-hour window for completion by noon on October 25th.
Both courses are set against stunning natural backdrops, offering runners breathtaking views as they navigate varied terrain that includes steep climbs and rocky descents. The race is designed to test endurance while immersing participants in the lush greenery of Beijing's Western Hills National Forest Park.
