Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and crisp air of Nanjing's Zhongshan Mountain this autumn as you lace up for the "Autumn Splendor" trail running event on October 6th, during China’s National Day holiday. This picturesque race offers two challenging courses: the 24km "Peak of Autumn" route and a shorter but equally scenic 16km "Gathering of Autumn Colors."
The longer course, "Peak of Autumn," spans an impressive distance with over 1700 meters of elevation gain across its rugged terrain. Starting early at 07:00 AM, runners have seven hours to complete the grueling yet rewarding journey through lush forests and along winding paths before reaching the finish line by 2 PM.
For those seeking a slightly less demanding but equally captivating experience, the "Gathering of Autumn Colors" offers 16 kilometers with more than 1,000 meters of elevation gain. This course begins just fifteen minutes after its longer counterpart at 7:15 AM and allows runners five hours to traverse through the changing foliage.
Both races start from the Super Player Wei Outdoor Equipment Selection Warehouse in Zhongshan Mountain’s scenic foothills. The warehouse is located inside a charming boutique store on the 117th floor of Building No.33, Jiangwang Temple Street, Xuanwu District, Nanjing City. This location serves as an ideal basecamp for participants to gather before setting off into the mountains.
