2026 Moon in June Road Race Burlington

The 37th Annual MNP Moon in June Road Race takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 6:30 PM EDT starting from 426 Brant Street (City Hall) in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. This unique evening event features a 1K kids' fun run, a 5K walk, a 5K run, and a 10K run through downtown Burlington, along with the Gordon's Great Grand K walk for seniors and supporters – all benefiting the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton.

Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Pre-Race Bib Pickup & Late Registration: Friday, June 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Movati Athletic (2036 Appleby Line).
• Race Day Bib Pickup & Registration: Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at City Hall Burlington (426 Brant Street). Early arrival is recommended.
• KidFest Activity Center: Open from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM featuring activities and attractions for children.
• Age Restrictions: 5K participants must be at least 8 years old (younger welcome with a parent/guardian). 10K participants must be at least 12 years old (younger welcome with a parent/guardian).
• Group Discounts: Teams, schools, or organizations with 6 or more participants receive a 15% discount. Contact the event organizer for details.
• Shirt Guarantee: All participants who register before May 18 receive a custom Moon in June t-shirt at bib pickup.
• Finisher Medal: Every finisher receives a commemorative medal at the finish line.
• Bag Check: Available on site.
• Bike Corral: Complimentary, supervised, and secure bike corral managed by the Burlington Cycling Committee, available on the north side of City Hall from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
• Parking: Limited parking is available. A downtown parking map is provided by the City of Burlington; participants are encouraged to use the bike corral or carpool.
• Entry Change Policy: Options include deferral to the following year, transfer to another person, or donation of entry fee to the charity, depending on timing (3 months, 30 days, 15 days before race day). No options available within 14 days of the race. The event is 100% charitable with all proceeds donated to the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton.

Route and Atmosphere:

• Course Description: The 5K is a flat, fast, certified single loop of downtown Burlington. The 10K is a certified double loop of the same course. Both start and finish at the blue clock in front of City Hall, highlighting the fabulous Burlington Waterfront.
• 1K Kids' Course: The route runs south along Brant Street followed by a quick turn north. Children remain within eyesight of parents for 100% of the run. Wave starts by age (oldest first).
• Post-Race Activities: Enjoy a light post-race meal, soft drinks, a live band, and a beer garden. The first beer is included for participants of legal drinking age. Finishers also receive a freezie (kids) and pizza/drinks.
• Family Affair: Designed as a multi-generational event with the Rocca Sisters KidFest, Movati Meredith's Hero Run for kids, Gordon's Great Grand K for seniors, and 5K/10K options for adults.
• Community & Charity: The Moon in June is a 100% charity event supporting the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton ("the Great Kids"). Sponsorship opportunities are available for organizations wishing to support the cause.
• Evening Atmosphere: A unique evening road race under the June moon, with live music, festive lights, and a vibrant downtown Burlington setting.
• Spectator Experience: The downtown route and City Hall start/finish area offer excellent spectator access, with multiple viewing points along Brant Street and the waterfront.
