2026 Hey Hey 5k

Join us for the Hey Hey 5k, an iconic race celebrating the spirit of Baileys Harbor at Door County Brewing Co. on Saturday, September 26, 2026. This run through the charming back roads of Baileys Harbor is a tribute to Freddie Kodanko, the late Polka King and local legend whose legacy lives on in both community memory and Door County Brewing Company's signature Polka King Porter beer.
The event welcomes up to 500 runners eager to experience the scenic routes around Baileys Harbor. Participants will start and finish at the cozy tap room of Door County Brewing Co., where they can enjoy a post-race pint or root beer from the brewery’s selection, all while sporting their specially designed Hey Hey 5k T-shirt. For younger racers aged 14 and under, there's a special children's shirt along with ice cream treats for those who finish.
Registration fees are as follows: kids 14 and under pay $20; adults can register between May 24 – May 31 at $30, June 1 – Aug 31 at $35, or September 1 - 24 (and on-site) for $40. Early bird registrants who sign up by August 24th are guaranteed their preferred shirt size.
