2026 Hangeul Run

On October 9, 2026, runners from around the world will gather at Sejong Central Park's Urban Festival Plaza to celebrate Hangeul Day through running during the 2026 Hangeul Run. The race starts promptly at 9:00 AM and offers two categories for participants: a longer 10.9 km course that commemorates Hangeul Day, and a shorter 5.15 km route honoring King Sejong's birthday.
Registration opens on July 1, 2026, starting from 10:00 AM, with entries available to the first runners who complete their payment online due to limited spots for each race category. The event is expected to attract up to 13,000 participants, making it a significant gathering of running enthusiasts.
The entry fee varies based on the distance chosen, costing KRW 75,000 for the longer route and KRW 55,000 for the shorter one.
