2026 Gwacheon Marathon

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, runners of all levels will gather at Gwacheon Gwanmun Sports Park to participate in an exhilarating day filled with running and community spirit. Registration for the race opens on Monday, July 20, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM, offering participants a chance to secure their spot among the limited 3,000 spots available.
The event offers three distances to cater to various preferences: the Half Marathon (42.195 km), the 10K (10 km), and the family-friendly 5K (5 km). Participants must be at least 19 years old for the half marathon, 14 or older for the 10K race, while all ages are welcome in the 5K event. The assembly begins at 7:00 AM with a start time of 8:00 AM sharp.
Runners can expect well-placed water stations every 2.5 kilometers and refreshment points approximately every five kilometers along both timed courses. Time limits for completion ensure that all participants have ample opportunity to enjoy the course without undue pressure, set at two hours thirty minutes for the half marathon and one hour thirty minutes for the 10K.
Participants in the Half Marathon and 10K events will receive a timing chip, allowing them to track their personal bests via mobile result certificates. All finishers across all distances will be awarded an official souvenir, event guide, race bib, and a finisher medal as tokens of achievement. Refreshments are provided at designated points throughout the course.
