2026 Global 6K for Water in Goyang

The Global 6K for Water, set to take place on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang, is an inspiring charity run/walk dedicated to supporting World Vision's water, sanitation, and hygiene projects. The event invites participants to cover a distance of 6 kilometers, which mirrors the average daily journey children in Africa undertake to collect clean drinking water.
Scheduled from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, this heartwarming initiative begins at Singing Fountain within Ilsan Lake Park and winds through picturesque locales such as Cactus Exhibition Hall, Lake Bridge, and Waterfall Plaza. The course features a turnaround point in front of the Goyang Flower Exhibition Center before looping back to the starting line.
With a capacity for 2,000 runners and walkers, registration opens on August 2, 2026, and closes on September 6, 2026. Entry fees are KRW 30,000 per participant, with all proceeds directed towards essential water projects in underprivileged communities.
Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and bib shipped to their address two weeks before the event, while medals will be awarded at the finish line on race day. Cultural performances and interactive experience booths are also part of the program, adding an enriching element to this meaningful run/walk.
Organized by World Vision Northern Gyeonggi Branch, the Global 6K for Water offers a unique blend of physical challenge and humanitarian commitment, inviting all who wish to make a difference in the world.
