This exhilarating race takes place within the iconic A and C towers of Chongqing Raffles City, offering runners a unique opportunity to conquer heights that stretch beyond imagination.
The event welcomes up to 600 participants across two competitive categories: Single Tower and Double Tower races. Registration for the Single Tower category is on a first-come, first-served basis from August 10th through September 25th. The more challenging Double Tower race requires an entry draw; results will be announced in early October with refunds offered to those who are not successful.
In the A tower, runners face a daunting climb of 350 meters over 67 floors and 1898 steps, while the C tower presents its own challenge at 250 meters through 42 floors and 1175 stairs. For the Double Tower race, participants will ascend to an impressive total height of 600 meters across both towers, scaling a combined 3073 steps over 109 floors.
The course begins in Chongqing Raffles City's Mountain Garden, where runners head into C tower and pass through its iconic Crystal Link before switching gears for the final ascent up A tower to reach the 67th floor helipad. This year’s Double Tower event doubles down on both difficulty and scenic beauty, offering a breathtaking journey that culminates in panoramic views of Chongqing's skyline.
The race organizers have crafted an unforgettable evening experience by setting the start time just before sunset, allowing participants to witness the sun dipping below the horizon over the Yangtze and Jialing rivers.
