2026 ECONOW RUN

On November 15, 2026, runners will gather at Ttukseom Hangang Park in Seoul for the ECONOW RUN, an environmentally conscious event designed to promote sustainability through action. Participants can look forward to a non-competitive 5 km course that winds along the scenic riverside path of Ttukseom Hangang Park.
The race begins promptly at 9:00 a.m., following check-in and warm-up activities from 8:30 a.m. The route takes runners out toward Seoul Forest before turning near Seongsu Cloud Bridge for an enjoyable return journey to the starting stage. This picturesque path offers stunning views of Hangang River, making it a perfect backdrop for a run that emphasizes environmental stewardship.
Registration opens on October 1, 2026, and closes when all spots are filled or by November 8, with only 300 runners able to participate due to limited capacity. The entry fee is KRW 30,000, which supports educational programs focused on environmental conservation for future generations.
A key highlight of the ECONOW RUN is its commitment to reducing waste and promoting recycling. Bib numbers are crafted from discarded paper, while finisher medals consist of recycled plastic materials. Water stations utilize reusable cups; participants are encouraged to bring their own cup or a bag for souvenirs as disposable shopping bags will not be provided.
No timing chip or official results are issued, ensuring that the focus remains on enjoyment and community engagement rather than competition. Runners should share public paths with other park users and follow event staff instructions throughout the day.
Join fellow eco-conscious athletes in Ttukseom Hangang Park for a memorable run dedicated to sustainability and environmental education.
