The 2026 DeKalb Aruna Run is a premier charitable athletic event held in DeKalb, Illinois, dedicated to the mission of freeing, employing, and empowering survivors of human trafficking. Scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, the event is hosted at the Christ Community Church - DeKalb Campus. As part of an international human rights initiative, 100% of registration fees and individual donations go directly toward the Aruna Project’s training centers and freedom businesses in Southeast Asia.

The event is designed for maximum accessibility, featuring fully paved courses for the 5K and 1-Mile distances. Participants are encouraged to run or walk for a specific woman currently enslaved in the brothel system, whose name is featured on the race bibs and official event apparel. For those unable to attend the physical event in DeKalb, a virtual registration option allows supporters to participate from any location.
