On November 8, 2026, the finale of the Multicolored Guizhou Marathon Super League will take place at Xianglushan South Gate in Kaili City, Qiandongnan Prefecture. This vibrant race offers a marathon (42.195 km) and half-marathon (21.0975 km), attracting 10,000 runners to the heart of Miao and Dong ethnic culture.
The course winds through Xianglushan South Gate and along the picturesque riverside ecological corridor, blending natural beauty with cultural landmarks. This edition coincides with the Miao New Year Festival, infusing the event with rich traditional elements such as侗族大歌、苗族飞歌、木鼓舞和锦鸡舞等非物质文化遗产表演。沿途，身着盛装的当地居民为参赛者加油鼓劲。
Upon crossing the finish line, runners will be greeted by a vibrant celebration featuring authentic Miao and Dong cuisine like sour fish soup, fermented fish, oil tea, and glutinous rice. The race medals are designed with intricate silverware patterns from Miao culture and embroidery motifs from Dong traditions.
To participate in this immersive cultural experience, marathon entrants must provide proof of completing at least one full or two half marathons within the last 24 months, while half-marathon participants need to show evidence of finishing two events of 10 kilometers or more. Alternatively, runners without qualifying results can submit a medical certificate from a Grade II hospital issued within the past year.
Registration for this unique event is open until October 25 at 6:00 PM through Digits Heartbeat App and the "Xianglushan Marathon" WeChat official account. Don't miss your chance to experience the rich tapestry of Qiandongnan's heritage on race day!
