About the Event

This year marks the final edition of Church Church Creek Time Trial #2 after an impressive 22-year run, leaving race enthusiasts with one last opportunity to participate. The event will host separate USAC categories for men and women aged 65+, 70+, and 75+. Riders in the 75+ category will compete within five-year age groupings solely for medal purposes.
Race organizers have implemented a unique registration system where start times are assigned based on reverse order of registration, ensuring that early registrants secure later starts. The race is part of both the Mid Atlantic Time Trial Series (MATTS) and Paracycle Race Series, with open fields also serving as MABRA Time Trials Championships.
All participants must possess a USAC annual license to compete in regional championships; unlicensed riders will face additional fees for one-day licenses. A 2-person team time trial category is available, allowing teams of two men or women to race together. For non-aero divisions, wheels up to 50mm deep are permitted.
The event promises a smooth and fast course along the scenic routes in Church Creek, Maryland, with well-marked checkpoints ensuring accurate timing. Participants must start from Mace's Lane Middle School at 7:00 AM on race day after showing their USAC racing license during check-in. Timing numbers will be distributed for both torso and seatpost areas; riders are advised to ensure correct placement as missing or improperly displayed numbers may result in disqualification.
Riders should maintain a safe distance from the finish line while warming up, avoiding any area that could interfere with timing sensors. A 20km out-and-back course is outlined using Route 355 for both individual and team time trials, with clear marshaling points ensuring smooth transitions between sections of the race.
As this will be the last edition, it’s a unique opportunity to experience Church Creek's vibrant atmosphere and picturesque scenery. The event concludes with awards ceremonies where medals must be collected at registration once results are finalized; unclaimed prizes will not be mailed out.
Parking is available at Mace's Lane Middle School for all participants, but no parking is permitted in the Start/Finish areas or along Route 355/Route 16. The Park & Ride area remains reserved exclusively for event staff and emergency personnel.
Church Church Creek Time Trial #2 promises a memorable experience, with its fast course, friendly atmosphere, and rich history coming to an end this year. Participants are encouraged to take advantage of the last chance to join in on what has been a beloved tradition.
