About the Event

Dive into an iconic Western Australian ocean tradition at the 2026 Busselton Jetty Swim on February 7 & 8, 2026, a world-renowned two-day festival featuring a ballot-entry 3.6km solo swim around the Southern Hemisphere's longest timber-piled jetty on Sunday. Saturday's events include the accessible Simon’s 500m Shortcut, a 220m Kids Swim, and creative Team Swims, while Sunday also offers the unique One Mile Swim to Shore (1.6km) starting from the jetty’s end. Established in 1996 with just 80 swimmers, this beloved event now attracts over 5,500 participants aged 8 to 89, set against the pristine backdrop of Geographe Bay.

Ballot registration for the signature solo and one-mile swims opens in October 2025, with general team and shorter distance entries following in mid-October. Whether you're competing in the epic 3.6km challenge, joining a themed team, or enjoying the free Sunset Concert on Saturday, the Busselton Jetty Swim is a celebration of community, ocean swimming, and the stunning natural beauty of WA's Southwest.
