About the Event

The Sungwoo Hitech 2026 Busan Ocean Marathon is set to take runners on a breathtaking coastal journey through the vibrant city of Busan. The race begins at BEXCO’s outdoor plaza, where participants gather for an early morning assembly before moving up to the upper deck of Gwangan Bridge for the start line.
Runners have three distance options: 15km, 10km, and 5km. Each event offers a unique experience with distinct starting times and time limits designed to accommodate all levels of runners. The 15km race kicks off at 8:40 AM with a two-hour twenty-minute limit, while the 10km starts earlier at 8:20 AM and has a one hour forty-minute cutoff. For those looking for a shorter but equally scenic run, the 5km event begins promptly at 9:00 AM.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis with a total limit of 12,000 participants across all distances. The race packages include both standard and Gold Studio options, offering runners additional perks like exclusive merchandise or enhanced support services.
The route itself offers stunning views of the ocean, providing a memorable backdrop for every step taken by competitors. Participants will be treated to an event gift upon registration and are provided with a finisher medal, refreshments, and snacks at the end.
