Avon Valley Railway Station, located at Bitton with the postcode BS30 6HD, serves as the starting point for this exciting 5k race. Registration begins promptly at 18:30, where you can collect your bib number and sign up on-site if space allows; both cash and card payments are accepted.
For those driving to the event, free parking is available at the station but be mindful of sharing spaces with others and considerate of local residents. Runners are directed by marshals and led cyclists, ensuring everyone stays safe while respecting other users on this shared space. No water stations will be provided mid-race; runners are advised to bring their own hydration in reusable containers for the finish line.
Wheelchair athletes may face challenges due to narrow pathways and must contact the race director beforehand if planning to participate with a guide runner or as one themselves.
Upon crossing the finish line, participants can grab some water right away. A sweet treat awaits you further into the Finish Area where you’ll find more refreshments; keep moving through this space to avoid congestion.
In case of transfers or deferrals, these must be completed on the RaceNation website by 18:00 the day before the race for them to be valid. Should a cancellation occur due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions or public health guidelines, updates will be shared via social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
Entry fees vary based on UKA Affiliated club membership status—£10 for members and £12 for non-members—with all runners required to be at least 11 years old by race day. Those under the age of 16 need parental or guardian consent to participate.
