Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty and cycling culture of Northern California at Bicycles & Bluegrass 2026. Held on November 7–8, this USA Cycling Foundation event brings together cyclists from across the nation for a weekend filled with camaraderie and competitive riding through some of the Bay Area's most stunning landscapes. The centerpiece of the weekend is Rosewood Sand Hill, where participants will start and finish their rides amidst lush surroundings. On Saturday, choose between two routes: The Short ride covers 27.7 miles with nearly three thousand feet of climbing around Woodside, offering a mix of challenging ascents and descents for riders looking to test their skills on varied terrain. For the more experienced cyclists, the Long route extends over 63.1 miles, scaling 6,770 feet through Pescadero's winding roads. Sunday offers three options: The Short ride features an intimate session with Kate Courtney, a World Champion and Olympian, covering 15.6 miles with 877 feet of climbing. Riders can also join the Female Sports Science Brunch & Panel following their ride at Rosewood Sand Hill from 11:00 AM to noon. The Medium route mirrors Saturday’s Short distance but adds an extra layer of scenic enjoyment around Woodside, while the Long Sunday ride challenges riders with a grueling yet rewarding 45 miles and over five thousand feet of elevation gain. Bicycles & Bluegrass promises not just competition and fitness goals, but also community building and support for American cycling. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience world-class riding in one of America’s most picturesque regions.
