2026 Ava's Way 5K

Join the vibrant celebration of life at the Ava's Way 5K Color Run on Sunday, October 4, 2026, starting bright and early at 9:00 AM. This unique race is more than just a run; it’s an explosion of color and community spirit. Organized by Ava’s Way in partnership with NEPA Racing, the event promises to be a memorable day for runners and walkers alike.
As you make your way through the Friedman JCC/JCA course located at 613 S.J. Strauss Lane in Kingston, PA, prepare to encounter several color stations that will shower participants with vibrant hues along their journey. Whether you're aiming for personal best times or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll with friends and family, every step contributes to a greater cause.
The event honors the legacy of Ava Fellerman, whose kindness, generosity, and love continue to inspire those who knew her well. The proceeds from this race go directly towards supporting young women in Wilkes-Barre Area High School through an annual empowerment day established by Ava’s family. This initiative offers essential workshops led by local leaders on topics such as career development, healthy relationships, self-defense training, and more.
Registration is now open with early bird pricing at $25 until August 20, 2026, followed by a pre-registration rate of $30 through September 1. Secure your spot before the deadline to receive an official limited edition race shirt as part of your registration package. After September 1st, the price increases to $35 and event shirts can be purchased separately for $15.
On race day, check-in opens at 8:00 AM with registration closing promptly at 8:45 AM before the start time. Participants are encouraged to register online in advance but same-day sign-ups will also be available until 8:45 AM using a QR code link provided on-site. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for payment.
Awards will be given out to top male and female finishers overall as well as age group winners across various categories from under 14 years old up to those aged 70+. This event is rain or shine with no refunds offered; however, missed registrations are considered donations in support of the cause.
