The event benefits the United Way of Central Arkansas, making every step count towards something meaningful.
Race day in Conway will see runners starting early at 8 AM with the Gobble Wobble Kids Mile followed by the Turkey Trot 5K a half-hour later. On this morning, the campus of University of Central Arkansas (UCA) transforms into a bustling hub of activity as participants prepare to run through UCA's picturesque grounds and scenic trails. The route begins at Estes Football Stadium on the UCA campus in Conway before heading over to Stone Dam Creek’s paved multi-use trail. Runners will pass by the Dave Ward Drive pedestrian bridge, where they can take in some of the area’s natural beauty, including dense wooded areas that offer a serene backdrop.
The weather for November in this region averages around 13 degrees Celsius with minimal rainfall and plenty of sunshine—about eight hours per day. The trail conditions are firm but slightly soft due to recent rains or morning dew. Runners should prepare accordingly by dressing in layers and ensuring they have good footwear, as the surface can be a bit uneven.

For those who cannot join us on race day, we offer virtual options for both the Gobble Wobble Kid's Mile and the Turkey Trot 5K. Race participants will receive swag, including race bibs and shirts. Bib pickup for those who register in person will be on the day of the event from 7 AM to 8:15 AM just before the start line. If you are running as a parent or guardian with your child, remember that there is no charge for kids participating in the Gobble Wobble Kids Mile.
The Turkey Trot is open to runners and walkers aged six and up. First-timers can expect an enthusiastic atmosphere on campus with friendly volunteers ensuring everything runs smoothly.
