2025 Ranger Ruck

2025 Ranger Ruck in Stevens Point, Wisconsin - Join us on Saturday, September 12, 2026 for the 4th annual event. This five-kilometer race will take you through the scenic landscapes of Schmeeckle Reserve and back to UWSP Marshfield Clinic Champions Hall. The course is known for its firm and slightly soft terrain, making it a challenge even on calm days.

Prepare to navigate through the marshes and trails that bring you closer to nature while keeping an eye out for the occasional gusts from the west-northwest. The event not only celebrates its long-standing tradition but also serves a greater purpose by raising funds for our cadets to participate in the 2025 Army Ten Miler in Washington D.C. Course & Conditions
The course features a mix of flat and slightly uphill sections, with the majority of the route running on firm dirt paths through Schmeeckle Reserve. The path is well-maintained but expect some soft spots due to recent rains. Along the way, there are two aid stations providing water and snacks for runners who need an energy boost.
The race starts at 2050 Fourth Ave near Champions Hall where you will find the starting line marked by a banner welcoming participants. The finish area is just behind this location with immediate access to post-race refreshments and vendor fair booths set up around the grounds. There are no significant elevation changes, but be prepared for some uneven terrain that requires careful navigation.

Logistics
Register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/WI/StevensPoint/2024RangerRuck with a fee of $25 per participant and ensure you submit your registration by the deadline. Bib numbers are available for pickup starting on September 10th from 3 to 7 PM at the same location as the race start.
The event commences at 8 AM sharp, so be sure to arrive early if you want a good spot along the route. Age requirements include being at least 16 years old and under 95 to participate in this year's Ranger Ruck.
