Experience the breathtaking beauty of San Diego at the 19th Annual Ride The Bridge - Bike The Bay! Scheduled for August 23, 2026, this non-competitive cycling event offers an unforgettable journey across the iconic Coronado Bridge and around the scenic San Diego Bay. Perfect for all ages and skill levels, participants will cruise through diverse neighborhoods including Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, and National City. The route spans approximately 25 miles along the Bayshore Bikeway, providing a primarily flat ride that allows cyclists to enjoy stunning views of the bay and surrounding communities. As you pedal, take in the vibrant atmosphere of these unique areas before crossing the majestic Coronado Bay Bridge, your only chance this year to do so. Upon completion of the scenic route, riders will return to Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego for a post-ride celebration featuring food, beverages, and entertainment. This event is designed as a fun and inclusive experience, encouraging participants to "go slow and say hello" while prioritizing safety above all else. To ensure a safe ride: - Helmets are mandatory. - Participants must be 10 years old or older. - Utilize bike lanes when available and practical. - Observe traffic rules, signals, and stop signs at all times. - Control your speed on downhill sections to maintain control. While the event is an incredible opportunity for cycling enthusiasts, it's important to note that refunds are not offered due to the substantial planning costs involved. Embrace this unique chance to explore San Diego’s rich landscape with fellow cyclists in a friendly and supportive environment. Join us at Ride The Bridge - Bike The Bay and make unforgettable memories while enjoying the beauty of Southern California!
