Everything about this trail race, from planning to race-day operations, is handled by volunteers, and its stated aim is to share the fun of running together and build bonds. Entrants run in groups of two to four, such as parents and children, siblings, couples or friends, and a team is only credited with a finish when every member crosses the line together. Solo divisions are the exception. The lineup includes 11.5K and 22.8K solo divisions, an 11.5K group division, and parent-child divisions of 5.6K and 9.9K. A roughly 2K Nature Run offers a hiking-style introduction to trail running for beginners and young children, including preschoolers. Nature Run entry costs 2,000 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for children, and the parent-child divisions cost 5,500 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for children, charged per team. The venue is in Kawajiri, Midori Ward, Sagamihara.
