On November 15, 2026, the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) celebrates its 60th anniversary with a vibrant tradition: the 15th edition of the Volta da Unicamp. This event is more than just a race; it's a celebration of community and achievement that brings together students, faculty, staff, and local residents to run for health, unity, and quality of life.
The day kicks off early with participants gathering at the Faculty of Physical Education by 7:00 AM. At 7:30 AM sharp, runners will take off from the same location, setting out on a scenic course that winds through the lush landscapes surrounding UNICAMP. The event features both 5km and 10km distances, catering to all levels of fitness.
The race is not just about crossing the finish line; it's an opportunity for everyone involved to connect with each other and honor the university’s rich history. Prizes are awarded in various categories including faculty members, technical-administrative staff, students, and a general public division, ensuring that runners from all walks of life can compete.
Participants will receive exclusive merchandise such as custom race shirts, bib numbers complete with timing chips, and finisher medals upon completion. The kit pick-up is available on the 13th and 14th at the Aquário of the Faculty of Physical Education, providing ample time for runners to prepare for their big day.
