A highlight of this race is the generous prize package offered upon completion: every finisher receives a full serving of sweet, succulent Kani Hasakizushi (Hassaku Crab), which has become synonymous with Rootok’s culinary heritage. Additionally, participants can indulge in free servings of Teppo Jiru, a traditional crab soup made from the local delicacy.
Entry fees vary based on race distance and age category: 6500 yen for adults across all distances except for the shorter courses; high school students or younger pay just 2500 yen.
