Discover the storied legacy of the 10km race at Laval University – recognized as one of the oldest running events in Quebec and the longest-running sporting event hosted by the university. This annual gathering is renowned for attracting swift runners, making it an ideal challenge for all skill levels. Whether you're a novice, intermediate, or seasoned athlete, there's something here to suit your pace with distances ranging from 800 meters to 10 kilometers. The shorter events of 800 meters and 1.5 kilometers are open to everyone, but the top three times in each category will receive trophies for: 800m (aged 8 and under) and 1.5km (aged 12 and under). Organized by Laval University's Rouge et Or Athletics team in partnership with Groupe Défis, this event aims to promote a healthy and active lifestyle within the community. It’s your chance to push personal limits, tackle challenges, and enjoy an enriching sporting experience in a supportive atmosphere. The course weaves through picturesque landscapes, offering scenic views that will captivate runners throughout their journey. Whether you're competing or simply enjoying the run, you'll find yourself immersed in the vibrant spirit of this historic race. For those planning to attend, please note that parking at Laval University's PEPS lot is pay-only from September 1st onwards for all events. The maximum daily rate will be $5.20. We strongly encourage using public transportation or carpooling among participants to ease congestion and reduce costs.
