EKAL RUN

Ekal Run, spearheaded by FTS Yuva Kolkata—the youth division of Friends of Tribals Society (FTS)—is an annual flagship event that aims to educate and empower underprivileged rural and tribal children across remote regions of India. Since its inception in 2019, the Ekal Run has seen remarkable growth both in scale and impact, transforming into a highly anticipated community gathering in Kolkata and expanding its reach to other cities such as Bengaluru, Surat, Indore, Gwalior, Assam, Dhanbad, and even extending internationally to Bangkok. Each year, thousands of participants from diverse backgrounds—running groups, professionals, students, athletes, families, and fitness enthusiasts—unite not just for the physical challenge but also for a greater cause: supporting FTS's mission.
The event brings together runners who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. The atmosphere is electric with an overwhelming sense of community spirit as participants come from all walks of life to contribute towards this noble initiative. Runners will experience scenic routes that highlight the unique charm and cultural heritage of Kolkata, while also enjoying the camaraderie among fellow runners who share a common goal.
Ekal Run offers more than just a race; it is an opportunity for individuals to connect with like-minded people committed to social change. Whether you are looking to push your limits or simply want to be part of something bigger, Ekal Run provides a platform where everyone can come together and make a meaningful impact in the lives of underprivileged children.
Participants will find themselves immersed in an environment that celebrates unity and purpose as they lace up their shoes for this impactful event. Join us on January 10, 2027, to be part of a movement dedicated to empowering future generations through education and community support.
