Oosterbaan Strand- & Duinloop

Castricum Atletiek Vereniging presents the Oosterbaan Strand- & Duinlopen and Parnassia Groep Run this winter. These events take place on January 3, 2027, offering runners a chance to explore the stunning Noord-Hollands Dunes Reserve. Participants can choose from various distances including a scenic 15 km route that includes sections of the beach.
The race starts and finishes at AV Castricum's athletics track located along Zeeweg in Castricum. Parking is available approximately 400 meters away near PWN visitors' center De Hoep.
Registration for these events opens until January 1, 2027. On-site registration becomes possible from Saturday afternoon onward but will incur a higher fee. Payment via bank card on the day of the race is not accepted. Participants can make changes to their registrations or transfer them up until the deadline through an email link provided in confirmation emails.
The event offers several distances for both adults and young runners:
- Oosterbaan Strand- & Duinlopen: 1 km (for youth), 2,2 km, 4 km, 10,1 km, and 15 km.

- Parnassia Groep Loop: 1 km (youth only), 2 km, 5,2 km, and 10 km.
The shorter distances are particularly designed for the youngest participants to enjoy a fun run alongside their parents or guardians who can join without registering. For those considering longer routes, it's advisable to check AV Castricum’s website beforehand to ensure that the selected course suits your experience level and equipment needs.
While prizes in kind and vouchers from Oosterbaan Alkmaar are awarded to the fastest adult runners completing 4 km, 10,1 km, or 15 km distances, all youth participants receive a souvenir. Medals will be presented to the quickest competitors within their respective age categories at these shorter events.
