Dutch Coast Ultra Run by Night

Immerse yourself in the winter wonder of the Netherlands with the Dutch Coast Ultra, one of Europe's oldest organized beach runs. This iconic race offers distances ranging from 25 km to an epic 75 km along the North Sea coast. The 25 km route stretches from Den Helder to Petten, while the 50 km journey takes runners all the way to Castricum aan Zee. For those up for a challenge, the 75 km course includes a return loop south of Castricum.
Participants gather at Hotel Wienerhof in Den Helder on February 12th, with start times set at 8:00 PM for the longer distances and 9:00 PM for the shorter ones. The race unfolds under moonlit skies, offering runners an unforgettable coastal experience. Along the way, you'll encounter vast stretches of sandy beach and dunes.
The finish line awaits in Castricum aan Zee within a renovated beach pavilion, complete with refreshments for all participants. Those opting for the 25 km route conclude their journey on Petten’s beach.
While there is no official transport back to Den Helder from the finish lines, runners are advised to arrange their own transportation.
